They each paid about $600 to get a degree from Almeda University in Idaho and received degrees in criminal justice.

Primary Virtual Schools- New Emerging Trend

Regardless of the controversies going on against online education, colleges and universities have been translating parts of their curriculum into distance learning courses and students continue to take them without entering the campus. A new trend is emerging these days, online education for primary schools. These virtual schools are operated by state governments or local school districts and promise to give students more flexibility while also lowering education costs for the state. Most of these virtual state-operated schools will accept enrollment from students anywhere in the state.
A law creating virtual schools legal is currently under consideration in the state Tennessee. Even if virtual education is a panacea for an ailing public education system, it’s clear that it is not going to disappear anytime soon.

7th-, 10th-Graders Scores High In Online Writing Assessment

7th and 10 graders of County Cabell School make history when they took the West Virginia writing assessment online in March. The school’s board reviewed the county’s assessment results at the meeting on Tuesday.
According to Dr. Jeff Smith, director of curriculum and assessment for Cabell County Schools, the writing test included 16 prompts that represented four styles of writing, including descriptive, expository, narrative and persuasive.
Students could earn a maximum of six points per essay, with each student writing one essay using one prompt.
He further said that between 75 and 87 percent of seventh-grade students and 82 and 87 percent of tenth-grade students scored at or above mastery in all areas tested. Both the teachers and the students were happy and claimed that both worked hard and deserve a roll of applause over the glorifying results.
