Founded under YMCA sponsorship as the School of Commerce in 1902 in Columbus, Franklin University is the leading educator of working professionals in central Ohio today. Thousands of nontraditional students have earned their degrees during more than 100 year period of the existence of this University. Today, Franklin University offers 16 undergraduate majors and 3 Graduate Programs with 1,500 students earning their degrees from this University each year.
The Distance Learning Division of Franklin University is called Virtual Campus. Through this campus Franklin University offers many degree programs. A large number of people enroll for these degree programs every year.
